The bus station is located in Avenida de Madrid. National destinations include Madrid, Barcelona, Asturias, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Irún, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Extremadura and Andalucía. There are also international routes to and from Portugal (Porto, Lisbon and Algarve), France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Germany and Great Britain. The train station is located in the city centre, in the Casablanca neighbourhood. Apart from nearby destinations (several daily connections with Ourense, Pontevedra, Santiago, A Coruña and Porto), there are daily express and “Talgo” trains to Madrid and Barcelona, and direct trains to León, Irún and Ponferrada. Each year the port of Vigo receives thousands of cruise passengers and the creation of a direct ferry service with France and United Kingdom is being studied. As to domestic destinations, there is daily transport to Moaña and Cangas do Morrazo and in Easter and from June to September, there are also daily routes to the Cíes Islands and excursions around the ria.
